The Basic Idea of this project is to define a standardized packet format for delivering audio and video over the Internet.  This concept is to be attained using the protocol RTP i.e. Real-time Transport Protocol. This protocol is used extensively in communication and entertainment systems that involve streaming media, such as telephony. This protocol supports the use of RTP-level translators and mixers. Packet formats on the wire will look exactly the same but with regards to how this protocol is used, we changes in the rules and algorithms.
