Yeah google provides such a feature which is unknown to most of us.Google allows users to integrate their orkut Friend Birth days with google calendar.And you can get alerts tou your mobile from google calendar

 I will tell you how to activate this feature

Steps

1. Login to orkut
2. Navigate this url  http://www.google.com/calendar/render?cid=1%23orkut@group.v.calendar.google.com
3. Fill Your details and you will be provided with a pop up box to import your orkut friends birth day to your calendar.
4. Now Navigate to Google Calendar Settings Page – On the Top Right Corner
5. You can see Mobile Settings there
