This article is meant to be for web master.Hope you know what google page indexing is and you may have lot of pages of your pages being indexed by goole..But do you think that all the pages in your website are in google primary index? Then you are wrong. If you are lacking traffic from search engines, then then less number of pages in google primary index might be the issue. The rest of the pages will be in google supplemental index
According to Google, the Supplemental Index is a list of pages that the Google web crawler considers unsuitable for inclusion in Google’s main Index.SO if you are doing SEO its very important to reduce the number of pages of your site in the supplementart list.Being listed in the supplemental index, however, does not affect the page rank of your website.
But it is not the major problem. The major problem is that supplemental pages do not be availabel for a visitor who is comming through google. It wont be listed in google searches.
Supplemental Index Ratio
This is the ratio of the number of pages of a website in the primary index to the total number of pages indexed by the google..To obtain more traffic you should try to reduce Supplemental Index Ratio
Total Number of Pages indexed = NO : of pages in Primary index + NO : Of pages in Supplemental index
Total number of pages indexed by google can be found by performing the search site:domain
Ex : site :http://www.shefeekj.com
Total number of pages in the google primary index can be found by performing the search site:domain -inallurl:domain
Ex : site:http://www.shefeekj.com -inallurl:http://www.shefeekj.com
SO obviously the difference between the two results wil give you the number of pages in the supplementa result
