Intel unveils their new innovation,Moores town integrated processor. The spaciality of the new processor is that it integrates graphics and all other chipset components on a single die.Moorestown integrates the 45nm processor, graphics, memory controller and video encode/decode onto a single chip. The result is that it will consume only lesser power than todays atom generation.Moorestown is promised to run at ten times lesser power than the atom generation of processors.Moorestown is Intels second attempt to make an impact in the mobile phone market, the first one being XScale processor. However this time, the cpu seems to be much more efficient and fast.Moorestown  will be a catalyst for exciting and innovative developments of  full Internet experience using  smartphone . Moorestown platforms will support a range of wireless technologies including 3G, WiMAX, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and mobile TV.

Apple is currently considering the new Intel Moorestown MID (mobile Internet device) platform processor for use in a future model of the iPhone. They are currently using Samsung system on chip (SoC) with ARM architecture(Acorn RISC Machine) which they are planning to abandon.Switching from ARM to an Intel chip may give Apple the opportunity to narrow the gap in the code between the iPhone and iPod touch with their Mac computer line.
