LG has finally shed the covers of its second Viewty offering the much awaited GC900 Viewty Smart. The company has launched the phone officially.
This comes just a week after LG’s own German blog leaked pictures of the phone inadvertently. The original Viewty was a huge success which had since launch managed to sell more than 6.5 million units worldwide.
The Viewty Smart is laden with an 8 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens. The camera centric phone makes its intentions clear with the expansive camera related features it sports. There is an Intelligent Shot Mode which automatically analyses scenes and lighting conditions in order to adjust the camera settings. This, according to LG completely eliminates the need to check settings before taking a photo. Other features include sensitivity up to ISO 1600, Multi-Face Detection, Touch Shot, Panorama Shot, Beauty Shot, Art Shot, Continuous Shot, DVD-quality D1 video recording and LED flash. Surprisingly, there is no sign of Xenon flash.
Moving on the the screen, it sports a gorgeous 3-inch TFT touchscreen with a very high 800*480 resolution. LG’s proprietary S-Class UI makes its appearance here. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP, 1.5GB of internal memory and MicroSDHC card support for up to 32GB.
After a pan-European launch in May, the phone will be released at an undisclosed price in other markets.
