Samsung launched worlds first solar powered mobile phone.The mobile is named as Samsung E1107.The mobile is loaded with a photovoltaic panel at the back.This will charge the battery with sun light.With one hour of solar charging,the phone offers 5-10 minutes of talk time.It takes 40 hours to charge the mobile fully for 12 hour talk time.The Samsung E1107 is an eco-friendly mobile which is made from recycled material and it is free from toxic materials such as berllium and phthalates
The phone is equipped with 1.52 inch CSTN display(128 * 128 pixels).
