Suzuki Motos has taken back India Made Alto s in Europe due to some fault.These cars are made at Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar plant.The company says these cars have an assembly fault in the wiring harness.This may cause a malfunctionaning of the tail lamps.
This fault will also be responsible for high current in the brake light solenoid that may burn or melt the contacts.The retake is for the automatic transmission model of Alto.According to sources there wont be replace the car but only repair and give back the existing ones.The car sold in india are not recalled yet by the company.Maruti Suzuki exported around 125,000 Altos to Europe in fiscal 2009-2010.This is the second retake of Alto in its history.Earlier in 2009 Maruti recalled 100,000 units of the car sold in india and abroad due to a fault in fuel pump.This has affected the reputation Maruti models
