Hyundai Motor India,the largest exporter and the second largest car manufacturer launched the All New Sonata Transform in the first month of 2009.The new Sonata Transform offers more power,fresh and cool interiors  and above all with the Hyundai badge of reliability and value.The car comes in both petrol and diesel variants.

 

The car is equipped with the advanced second generation Theta family of gasoline engine which produces a generous 175ps@6000 rpm of maximum power and a peak torque of 23.8 kgm.This will produce quick and robust acceleration and a quick throttle response.The 2.4L ,4 cylinder,DOHS engine is equipped with Variable Intake System(VIS) and VTVT technology which gives descent mileage to the car making it extremely fuel efficient.The gear system is 5 speed manual transmission.

The diesel variant of Sonata Transform  is powered by a 4-cylinder,2L common rail engine(CRDI)  with a Geometry Turbocharger(VGT) .The Diesel variant will be available with both a 6 speed manual and a 4 speed (H-Matic) automatic transmission.

 

The all new Sonata transform offers fresh and luxurious styling on the exteriors with body color on door handles ,bumbers and mirrors.The other features of the car are rear defogger,fog lamps,twin exhaust,2-tone beige interior,auto head lamp off(battery saver),wood –grain finish inserts on steering,dash board and door panel.

 

The all new Sonata Transform is fully loaded with  worlds best safesty features which includes Anti –Lock breaking system(ABS) ,Electronic break force distribution(EBD),six airbags,crumple zones,side impact beams and much more.
