Yamaha New R15 Version 2.0

Yamaha R15 was the first bike launched in the Indian market designed as true sports bike image and providing a high-level balance of easy running performance on nice roads. The 2011 model of Yamaha R15, is priced at Rs. 1.07 lakhs.  The vehicle is named as ‘R15 Version 2.0′, which has some resemblance to R1. But the specifications of the New R15 Version 2.0′s  are exactly the same when compared to R15 Version 1.0 except the kerb weight changed to 136 kgs. The engine displacement, maximum power and maximum torque values are not changed. Yamaha fans are feeling sad  as they were waiting for R15 Version 2.0 for almost one year and the important expectation was that the power will be increased from 16.8 bhp to 20-22 bhp and torque from 15 nm to 18-19 nm but Yamaha has kept all the technical specifications the same. Yamaha R15 Limited Edition Fiery Red has been painted in a eye catching red shade with new graphics on both sides. Yamaha R15 50th Anniversary Red & White is taken from the anniversary editions of Yamaha YZF-R1, R6 and R125 and looks better in red and white. Changes noticed in the new R15 includes the all new engine fairing with very sporty looks, new alloy wheels enhancing the looks of the bike, comfortable split seat which is anti-slip and better cushion, new graphics which are now white shade, fat rear tyre – 130/70 – R17, new LED tail light with much better looks than last generation model, new ECU mapping for better acceleration and mileage, big 220mm rear disc for improved braking, increase in weight by 5kgs , newly designed saree guard and mudguard and is said as the first 150cc Indian bike to be designed with aluminium swingarm. The 149,8cc 4 stroke liquid cooled engine is provided with maximum power at 16.8 bhp at 8500rpm and maximum torque of 15nm at 7500rpm. In the design part changes include new LED tail lamp cluster, new engine fairing, nicely step-up seat, new alloy wheels, new rear fender and tyre hugger, sportier riding position, Fat rear tyre 130/70 R17 and 4% less aerodynamic drag.
